The
basic Humphree Interceptor System offers the high-speed craft
operator an effective tool to optimise the ship speed and the
ride comfort by manual control of running trim and list.
The basic Humphree Interceptor System comprises one Humphree Control
Panel for wheelhouse installation and a set of Humphree Interceptors
with inboard electric servo actuators. The number of interceptors
per side may vary between one, two and three, depending on the
vessel’s beam, transom space and lift force requirements.
Optional components are waterproof flybridge panel, trim angle
sensor, cable harness with watertight connectors, and lightweight
pre-drilled support plates for fast and easy installation to the
hull transom. If the operator requires automated functions, the
basic system can be easily upgraded to include automatic trim
optimisation or active damping of pitch and roll motion. In such
a case there will be no need to replace either the Humphree Interceptors
or the electric servo actuators, since all components have been
designed for continuous high-frequency operation.
